Match report Aldenham looked to be a nice ground despite the interesting facilities (no doors, bar or showers!), Fanny asked the oppo to bat and after a good opening spell from Tricky and Dave it looked like a good game...at 157 for 4 after 34 overs 220 was discussed as a good score with short boundaries all around...the very 'sporting' oppo skipper decided to let there number 5 get a ton no matter what, Aldenham posted a crushing 278 in 46 overs.
Saracens started brightly, Fanny and Tricky didnt bother the scorer, Squibby and Damo rebuilt with some lusty blows but once they and Flipper fell the writing was on the wall. Dinghy batted well with the tail for 45 and even Bun scored some runs to pass 1,000 since the millenium. The 'sporting' opposition bounced the youngsters (including Bun) and we were all out for 169.
