Match report So here we are again. Chairmans X11 v the club.
A mixture of oldies and newbies
Making welcome returns to the club, greystoke Owen and will. Greystoke excelled with the bat and helped keep the team in the game. Pat Micallef with the bat and ball, and allen nick also with bat and ball. Scouse showing he has not lost his sweeping and keeping skills and Baloo Knighton chipping in.
The game ended with a reasonably easy win for the club, with late withdrawals affecting the chairmans team. Of particular note were Hannah making her debut and Ellie on the opposing side. Both bowling like demons and getting wickets and hannah scoring more than her dad and brother ))
Great batting on both sides from Hitch, Greystoke, Jonny Harris, Jenks, Scouse, Woody, Dinghy and jim Wafford. Well done also to Chris for getting wickets and his first 4 for the club ))
A moment to forget being Conor batting in his mankini.
Thanks to Blousy Donald and Terry for umpiring. Thank you also to Ben for meticulously scoring.
Finally a big Thankyou to Penny for doing all the food and Ann, Penny, Clare, Caitlin, Manda, Jess for all their hard work serving us throughout the day.
Bad luck for poor old Matt, who broke his thumb and ended up in A and E. At least it was his left hand ))
We did have a W award - jim Wafford for the chairmans team and James Adams for the club. Overall winner, Helmet )))
