Match report Arrived at the plush surrounds of Little Hadham and waited for the anticipated late arrival of Cabbie . Tricky lost toss and as with previous years found ourselves batting first .
Owen and Tricky opened and got off to a good start against somewhat erratic bowling before Owen(16) chipped one to the only fielder that could catch which brought in Hitch .
another good partnership ensued with Tricky reaching his 50 before Hitchy departed for 28.
Vinny came in and supported Tricky in upping the run rate and taking the score to past 200 with Tricky reaching a well deserved maiden Sarries 100 before departing lbw for 103 . James A. came to the crease and pushed the score along before Vinny departed caught again by the only fielder who could catch for 38 off 24 balls . Chris came and went without troubling the scorers and Tony(1) was run out when James(17 n.o) decided he wanted to face the last ball after Little Hadham skipper had told Tricky we were declaring Darrell walked in and ended 0 n.o without facing a ball . Score 216-6
Knowing we had a good hour and half and 20 overs to bowl we felt confident of bowling the opposition out. Cabbie and Bun opened and Bun picked up a couple of early wickets including the quick scoring opener .
This led to the opposition shutting up shop and also changing the time of 20 overs to 6 o clock . Seven bowlers were used trying to get the batsmen to come out of there defence minded attitude but to no avail . Marcus 1-3 , Darrell 1-23 ,mini man 1-25 picked up the other wickets along with Bun 3-52 with Cabbie 0-21 Vinny 0-8 and Chris 0-15 the other bowlers .
Oppo finished on 149-6 and for the 3rd year running a drawn game . Nevermind showers and off to the bar . Oh hang on there were neither.
