Match report Another trip away to Aspenden and puckeridge .
Oppo batted first and started well putting on 50 before Cabbie injured their opening bat and he retired hurt . After that tight bowling by restricted them to 151- 7 off 40 overs with Tony B (3-26), Gary (3-27) Dave O (1-26) picking up the wickets
Vinnie and James opened but we were two down quickly with James(6) and Conor(3)out . Vinnie(21) and Tricky (16) steadied the ship before giving away their wickets soon followed by Chris (0) and Tony B(2)
Dave Owen was joined by Gary and took the score to 90 before Dave (22) was caught . Paul D added 9 before he was out which left Gary and Will at the crease and another 50 odd needed.
Gary decided he had nothing to lose and began hitting the ball to all parts with huge sixes that took us to within 18 before trying to keep the strike Will was Run Out without scoring leaving Gary 45 n.o and a loss by 18 runs

A close game in which a few batsmen got started but apart from Gary never went on to get a big score .
First loss of season to a team we should have beaten
