Match report On a broadly sunny, but very chilly day, we played blackheath for the second time - previously beating them in 2007. Greg turned up 2 overs into the game, and picked up the W trophy for that.

They won the toss and batted. A firey spell of bowling from Woody (can you tell I write the reports?) bred a few early wickets, the pitch at the rectory helping in both cases. Blackheath were slow throughout their innings, but two batters (59 and 70) pushed their score to a credible 192 for 7 off their 40 overs. Woody finished with 5-44, Bun 2-18.

In reply, Sarries had Dinghy and Craig DeVaal (debut) opening. We made good time and dinghy (17) contributed to a 59 run opening stand, Vinny scored 3 in a stand of 29, and Mavis (0) was the only other wicket, as Devil (112 no) and another debutant Ben Wilkinson (44no) got us over the line, with 3 overs left.

Very good win and great performance from the two debutants.
