Saracens Cricket Club

Baldock v Saracens Cricket Club 1st XI on Sun 24 May 2009 at 1pm
Saracens Cricket Club Lost by 75 runs

Match report On a blistering day in Baldock a youthful Saracens line up (including Bun and Dinghy) fielded first in close on 35 degrees with half the team suffering from the Cider Festival!

Baldock made a steady start against the pacers before the introduction of Dinghy removed the opening pair before Tricky removed the smelly number 3. Some excellent catching from Tony behind the stumps and Squiby in the outfield saw bun claim a patient 5 wicket hall on a dead track, uphill during a 16 over spell.

Saracens skipper was confident that the 200 posted was gettable, despite some good runs from Squiby, Jeffro (Babs), Tony and Fanny the team fell short at 125 all out.

Baldock hosted an excellent match with some good BBQ food afterwards and plenty of beer, a good day all round.
